ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Stetson junior outside linebacker Andrew Martin earned All-Pioneer Football League Second Team honors for the second straight season, headlining the Hatters' 2025 All-PFL selections as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Martin, a McDonough, Ga., native, continued to establish himself as one of the league's most disruptive defenders. He played in all 12 games for a Stetson team that posted its best record during his tenure, finishing the year with 67 total tackles and 29 solo stops. Martin set new career highs with 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, added three quarterback hits, and closed the season on a tear—recording nine or more tackles in each of the final three games. He capped his year with a season-best 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the road game at San Diego.
His latest accolade adds to an impressive résumé that already includes PFL Defensive Freshman of the Year and back-to-back Second Team appearances as a sophomore and junior.
Stetson also placed three players on the All-PFL Honorable Mention list. Senior offensive linemen Eric Brust Jr. and Dawson Harrington, along with freshman offensive utility player Michael Dempsey, were each recognized for their contributions.
Brust, a 6-foot-3, 309-pound starter from Palmetto, Fla., has been a steadying force along Stetson's offensive front, providing strength and reliability in the interior. Harrington, a 6-foot-7, 298-pound fifth-year lineman from Olathe, Kan., started all 12 games this fall and has appeared in more than 40 contests in his Stetson career, anchoring the left side of the line with his size and experience.
Together, Brust and Harrington helped power a Hatters rushing unit that averaged 161 yards per game—fourth-best in the PFL—and played a key role in Stetson's single-game program record rushing performance against Davidson. Nineteen of the team's 31 total touchdowns came on the ground.
Freshman Michael Dempsey made an immediate impact as one of the league's most versatile young playmakers. Appearing in 11 games, Dempsey rushed 50 times for 280 yards and two touchdowns while adding 13 receptions for 187 yards and three scores. He ranked fourth on the team in both rushing and receiving, flashing explosive potential highlighted by a 46-yard touchdown reception.
Stetson's four honorees reflect a strong foundation moving forward as the Hatters continue their momentum under Head Coach Mike Jasper.
