DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson women's basketball senior Cameron Thomas was named the ASUN Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon, following a standout performance at the Holiday Hoops Classic.
The honor marks Thomas' second Player of the Week award this season after leading the Hatters to a 1–1 showing against strong non-conference competition.
Thomas was at her best in Saturday's comeback victory over Stonehill, pouring in a game-high 32 points while knocking down seven three-pointers to help Stetson erase a 12-point deficit. She delivered in the biggest moments, connecting on two clutch triples in the fourth quarter as the Hatters outscored the Skyhawks 17–8 in the final period and closed the game on a decisive 12–0 run. Her seven makes from beyond the arc tied the program's second-most in a single game.
She also contributed in Friday's matchup against William & Mary, finishing with 10 points, three three-pointers, and five rebounds as Stetson led for more than 31 minutes before the Tribe pulled away late.
Across the two games, Thomas averaged 21.0 points per game, anchoring the Hatters' perimeter attack throughout the Holiday Hoops Classic.
Stetson returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 28, when the Hatters travel to Coral Gables to face Miami at the Watsco Center. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
