DeLAND, Fla. — The Stetson women's basketball team has learned its opening round matchup for the 2026 Postseason WNIT. The Hatters will travel to Miami, Fla., to face Florida International on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
The contest will be played on FIU's campus as part of the opening round of the 48-team tournament. The winner will advance to the second round to face Abilene Christian on the road.
Stetson earned an at-large selection into the field after posting a 20-11 overall record during the 2025–26 season. The Hatters finished 12-6 in ASUN Conference play and reached the semifinal round of the ASUN Championship.
The matchup will be a familiar one for the Hatters, who also faced Florida International in the opening round of the 2024 Postseason WNIT in Miami.
Florida International enters the tournament with a 20-11 overall record and earned an automatic berth into the WNIT after finishing as the runner-up in the Conference USA Championship.
Now in its 28th year, the Postseason WNIT continues to showcase the depth of women's college basketball. The 48-team field is comprised of nine automatic qualifiers and 39 at-large selections from conferences across the country.
First round games will be played March 19–21, followed by the second round March 22–24. The Super 16 is scheduled for March 25–27, the Great 8 from March 28–30, the Fab 4 on March 31–April 1, and the championship game will take place April 4.
