Words from Coach:
"Well, first of all, we wanted to capitalize on a good doubles point that we played against Gardner-Webb. I think it's important to show some consistency in our identity there, and I think we did a really good job with the energy. It was nice to get a back-to-back situation with doubles, and going into singles, we knew we had a slight edge on most courts. But it's one thing to have a slight edge on paper, and another to prove it on the court. I think the guys did that with their desire to compete and stay locked in. If you can build a little bit of a gap, you need to stay locked in to capitalize on it, which I think we did a good job of," said Head Coach Christophe Noblet.
"It was also good for Marc at the end to focus on his job. It's not easy when the whole match has been clinched to keep yourself engaged and chase your own personal win, but he did that. I'm happy for him to get it. He's a hell of a competitor, and we need everybody always competing at their highest level. That's what we're doing right now, so that's encouraging for the matches to come."
