DeLAND, FL — Thursday afternoon's match didn't lack suspense as the Hatters defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls 4-3, claiming their first victory over FAU since 2013 and ending a 10-match losing streak in the series. The match was decided in the third set of Christian Kuehne's match, where he clinched a 6-4 win to secure the Hatters' fourth straight victory. Kuehne and Eder Blanco made quick work in doubles, picking up their fourth win as a pair. Kuehne and Xavier Sarda Marti both improved to 4-1 on the season, with Sarda Marti now riding a four-match winning streak.

"I think we trust our training a lot. We train extremely hard, and Tim and I are pushing our guys to the limit in practice. This is why we do what we do — so that in the third set, we can trust ourselves, trust our bodies, and trust our minds. I was extremely calm because I was enjoying the fight that those guys were putting up at the end, and I have full trust in our ability to compete at the highest level," said Christophe Noblet. "It was a heck of a fight from both teams. We respect FAU highly — great program — but this one was ours. I'm very proud of the boys, and we're going to keep building and work even harder because of it."

"I think the fact that we are like a family creates a lot of trust between us. I'm just super proud of myself, and as for the guys, they help me so much off the court. Credit to Luca for fighting so hard, and yeah, we fought very hard. We never stopped the grind."
