Hatters Set for ITA Southeast Regional Championships in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. — Stetson men's tennis continues its fall schedule this week as five Hatters head to Atlanta for the 2026 ITA Division I Men's Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech from Oct. 14-19.

The regional championship brings together players from throughout the Southeast Region for singles and doubles competition, with Stetson represented in both the main and qualifying draws.

Alexandre Bergeron and Keoni Puig-McCallan will represent the Hatters in the singles main draw. Puig-McCallan moved into the main draw following a withdrawal.

Christian Kuehne, Lukas Janousek and Gian Durrer will begin their singles runs in the qualifying draw, looking to earn spots in the main field.

Puig-McCallan enters the regional coming off a strong showing at the Bedford Cup in Orlando, where he advanced to the semifinals of the top singles draw. He earned victories over Florida Atlantic's Simon Myslivec and South Florida's Ashton McLeod during the run.

Durrer also put together a productive weekend at the Bedford Cup, reaching the B Singles Draw consolation final before falling to teammate Mihnea Maftei. Durrer added a doubles championship alongside James Lorenzetti.

Stetson will also send two teams directly into the doubles main draw.

Bergeron will team with Puig-McCallan, while Kuehne and Janousek will make up the Hatters' second pairing.

Both combinations earned victories earlier this fall at the Bedford Cup. Bergeron and Puig-McCallan defeated Florida Atlantic's Lucca Pignaton and Jose David Segovia 6-2, while Kuehne and Janousek picked up a 6-4 victory over West Florida's Bastian Zamora and Vicente Couto.

The ITA Southeast Regional Championships begin Wednesday at Georgia Tech and continue through Monday, Oct. 19.
