DeLAND, Fla. -- In anticipation of Saturday's season opening football game, Stetson University will join fans across the nation Friday in celebrating
College Colors Day. Hatters are encouraged to show their pride by wearing Stetson green and white throughout the day.
College Colors Day, created by the College Licensing Company, is an annual tradition that unites students, alumni, faculty, staff, and fans in displaying their school spirit ahead of the fall sports season. For the Hatters, it's the perfect way to kick off the excitement of a new year of Stetson athletics.
Stetson's celebration will include:
-
Campus Spirit Activities — Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite Stetson gear and share photos on social media using #CollegeColorsDay and #GoHatters.
-
Fan Friday — Local businesses and community partners are encouraged to participate by decorating storefronts in green and white and offering Hatter spirit specials.
-
Game Week Hype — The Stetson football team opens its season Saturday, August 30, at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium. College Colors Day will set the tone for an action-packed weekend of Hatters sports.
Whether you're on campus, in the classroom, at work, or across the country, Stetson fans are encouraged to wear green, share their spirit online, and join in this national tradition.
