Hatters Head to Georgia Southern for Tuesday Clash

DeLAND, Fla. – Fresh off its first victory of the season, Stetson men's soccer heads north for a Tuesday night matchup against Georgia Southern at Bo Pitts Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Statesboro, Ga.

The Hatters (1-2-0) ride into the match with momentum after a 3-0 win over Presbyterian, a night that saw senior forward Andres Freire strike twice and last year's leading scorer, Maurice Hauser, open his 2025 account. Graduate goalkeeper Nicolo Radaelli added his eighth career shutout to cap the performance, tying him for fourth in program history. Stetson will now look to translate that confidence into a difficult road test against a Georgia Southern squad that edged the Hatters 2-1 in last season's meeting.

The Eagles (2-0-1) enter unbeaten and unscored upon, leaning on the steady play of senior goalkeeper Nate Martinez, who has already collected three clean sheets this fall. Freshman midfielder Emil Seedorff Sørensen has provided the spark offensively with a team-best two goals, while sophomore forward Ricky Louis has chipped in one. In the midfield, sophomores Thomas Helgheim Jr. and Noah Holmstrom have joined classmate Finne Steele in driving the attack, combining for four assists through the first three matches.

Tuesday night's contest will stream live on ESPN+, with live stats available at GSEagles.com.
