DeLAND, Fla. – Former Stetson standout Charles Ahl has wasted no time making an impression in his rookie season with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, delivering clutch goals and establishing himself as one of the club's most reliable young playmakers.
The Winter Park native scored his first professional goal in dramatic fashion, an equalizer against Miami on national television in July, finding the back of the net on the final kick of the match. He added to his tally this past week at Tampa Bay's Al Lang Stadium, continuing to showcase his knack for scoring in big moments.
At Stetson, Ahl built an impressive résumé capped by being named the 2024 ASUN Player of the Year. He was selected to the All-ASUN First Team as a senior after earning Second Team honors in each of the two previous seasons. His standout senior campaign also secured him a place on the All-Region Team, cementing his place among the program's most decorated players.
Ahl's rise was recently spotlighted by Kartik Krishnaiyer and James Knowles on the Florida Soccer Report, a segment of Beyond the 90', where he discussed his development in Florida, his time at Stetson, and his early professional career.
