Patricia Wilson Field Awaits: Stetson Softball Announces 2026 Schedule, Amber Chumley Earns Preseason All-ASUN Honor

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson University Softball has announced its schedule for the 2026 season, featuring a balanced slate of home tournaments, challenging non-conference matchups, and Atlantic Sun Conference play throughout the spring. The Hatters will open the season at Patricia Wilson Field and play a significant portion of their schedule in DeLand.

Stetson enters the 2026 season with preseason recognition, as Amber Chumley earned a spot on the Preseason All-ASUN Team. In addition, the Hatters were picked to finish sixth in the ASUN Coaches Poll, setting the stage for a competitive conference season.

Chumley made an immediate impact in her freshman season, starting all 57 games she appeared in. She finished the year with a .301 batting average, a .497 slugging percentage, and a .354 on-base percentage. Chumley totaled 55 hits, including nine doubles and nine home runs, while driving in 40 runs and scoring 30 times. She added 11 walks, was hit by a pitch four times, and went a perfect 4-for-4 on stolen bases. Defensively, she recorded a .891 fielding percentage with 24 putouts and 58 assists. Her strong debut season earned her All-Freshman Team honors.

The Hatters will begin the season February 6–8 by hosting the Frank Griffin Classic, welcoming UT Martin, Seton Hall, and Indiana State to DeLand. Stetson will follow with the Hatter Classic from February 12–15, hosting Maine and North Dakota State at Patricia Wilson Field.

Stetson will travel to South Florida on February 18 for a midweek doubleheader before returning home to host Columbia and St. John's from February 20–22. The Hatters then head west for the Oregon Classic from February 27–March 1, facing a strong field including host Oregon.

March begins with a road contest at North Carolina on March 4, followed by participation in the Marucci Classic, where Stetson will face Michigan State, Mercer, and NC State. The Hatters return home March 11 to host Baylor, followed by a three-game ASUN series against North Florida on March 14–15. Stetson will also host Texas Tech on March 17.

Atlantic Sun Conference play includes road series at FGCU, West Georgia, North Florida, and Jacksonville, along with home series against Queens, West Georgia, North Florida, and FGCU. Stetson will face Florida in Gainesville on March 25 before hosting the Gators in DeLand on April 1.

The Hatters will close the regular season May 1–2 with a home ASUN series against FGCU before competing in the Atlantic Sun Championship in early May.
