Stetson Men's Cross Country Earns First-Ever Regional Ranking

DELAND, Fla. — Following an impressive fourth-place finish at the ASUN Championships this past weekend, the Stetson men's cross country team has earned its first regional ranking in program history, checking in at No. 14 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Region rankings.

The recognition comes on the heels of one of the program's strongest conference championship performances in recent history. Competing in Richmond, Kentucky, the Hatters secured their highest finish at the ASUN Championships since 2018, when they also placed fourth. Stetson totaled 97 points, finishing 32 points ahead of fifth-place Florida Gulf Coast and just three points behind third-place Bellarmine.

Senior Seth Singer highlighted the championship performance, earning Second Team All-ASUN honors with an 11th-place finish, the highest individual placement by a Hatter in program history at the conference championships. Stetson also demonstrated its depth throughout the lineup, placing all five scoring runners inside the top 31 to secure its fourth-place team finish.

The regional recognition adds another milestone to a season that has seen the Hatters establish multiple school records and continue their rise within the conference. Stetson will return to competition at the NCAA South Regional Championships in Tallahassee, Florida, where the team will look to carry its momentum into the postseason and build upon its historic campaign.
