JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Stetson guard Mary McMillan has been named ASUN Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday, after a standout two-game stretch in conference play.
McMillan averaged 26.5 points per game while shooting 58.1 percent (18-of-31) from the field and 50 percent (5-of-10) from three-point range across 73 minutes of action. She added five assists, four rebounds and a steal, committing just three turnovers for the week.
The graduate guard opened the week with a career-high 33 points on the road at Jacksonville, connecting on 11-of-20 shots from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. She scored at all three levels and consistently created offense throughout the contest, marking the highest single-game scoring performance of her career.
McMillan followed with 20 points in Stetson's 62-52 victory over FGCU, helping secure the program's first home win in the series since 2011 and snapping an eight-game skid against the Eagles. She delivered in key moments, scoring eight of the Hatters' 19 fourth-quarter points to help seal the historic win.
For the week, McMillan totaled 53 points and scored 17 combined points in the fourth quarter across the two contests, demonstrating her ability to elevate her play in decisive moments.
The honor marks McMillan's first ASUN Player of the Week recognition of the season.
Stetson returns to action Thursday at 5 p.m. when it hosts North Florida at the Edmunds Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
