DELAND, Fla. — Stetson guard Mary McMillan has been named ASUN Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference office announced Monday. The honor marks the final weekly award of the regular season and gives McMillan back-to-back recognition to close the year.
McMillan helped lead the Hatters to a 2-0 week with wins over North Florida and Eastern Kentucky, averaging 22.5 points per game while shooting 57.1 percent (16-of-28) from the field. She totaled 45 points across the two contests, highlighted by a 26-point performance in Thursday's win over North Florida.
In addition to her scoring efficiency, McMillan knocked down three three-pointers, went 10-for-16 at the free throw line, and contributed seven assists and six rebounds over the two games. Her offensive production played a key role in Stetson taking down the ASUN's top seeded team and securing momentum entering the final stretch of conference play.
This marks McMillan's second straight ASUN Player of the Week honor and continues a hot stretch of games for the graduate guard, who has consistently ranked among the league leaders in assists while serving as the engine of the Hatters' offense.
The Hatters return to action on Wednesday night when they host the Jacksonville Dolphins for a marque conference match up at 7:00 PM at Insight Credit Union Arena for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The game will be broadcast to ESPN+ and live stats will be available at GoHatters.com.
