DeLand, Fla. — Stetson dropped a 9-1 contest to Baylor on Wednesday night at Patricia Wilson Field.
The Hatters (15-11) tallied four hits in the game, highlighted by
Logan Forman's seventh home run of the season.
Stetson looked to answer early after Baylor opened the scoring in the first inning. In the second, Forman delivered a solo home run to left field to put the Hatters on the board and cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Bears created separation in the third inning with a five-run frame.
The Hatters continued to battle offensively.
Gabby David recorded a single in the fourth inning to spark a scoring opportunity, but Stetson was unable to capitalize and left runners stranded. The Hatters finished with four hits but were unable to generate the timely offense needed to close the gap.
