DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson University earned a 6–1 victory over the University of North Carolina Wilmington on Saturday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
The Hatters opened the match by sweeping all three doubles courts to secure the early point. Yuki Mizuguchi and Katsiaryna Tuliakova led the way with a 6–2 win at No. 1 doubles over Elif Albayrak and Eda Arli. At No. 2, Anastasija Adeikyte and Dana Baidaulet defeated Lucia Gomez and Simay Keles 6–4, while Pilar Astigarraga Harper and Clelia Lombardi completed the sweep with a 6–3 victory against Sophia Catino and Alicia Eberwein at No. 3.
Stetson carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matches.
Clelia Lombardi gave the Hatters an early advantage with a dominant 6–0, 6–2 win over Gabbie Glickstein at No. 6 singles. Katsiaryna Tuliakova followed with a 6–2, 6–3 victory against Eda Arli at the top spot, and Dana Baidaulet added a 6–2, 6–2 decision over Alex Borcich at No. 5.
