Stetson Falls to North Florida 6-1 in Regular Season Finale

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson University honored its seniors—Pilar Astigarraga Harper, Katsiaryna Tuliakova, and Anastasija Adeikyte—prior to Friday's match, but fell to North Florida 6–1 at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center to close out the regular season.

North Florida claimed the early advantage by sweeping all three doubles matches. Laurie Barendse and Isabel Oliveira defeated Yuki Mizuguchi and Katsiaryna Tuliakova 6–3 at No. 1 doubles, while Aryana Bartlett and Anslee Long secured the point with a 6–4 win over Anastasija Adeikyte and Dana Baidaulet at No. 2. Gabby Goyins and Jasmin Makela completed the sweep with a 6–4 victory against Pilar Astigarraga Harper and Clelia Lombardi at No. 3.

In singles play, North Florida extended its lead with a 6–1, 6–2 win by Barendse over Harper at No. 1. Stetson answered at No. 2 singles, where Katsiaryna Tuliakova earned a 6–4, 7–5 victory over Oliveira to account for the Hatters' lone point.

North Florida responded by winning the next two matches to clinch the team victory. Anslee Long defeated Clelia Lombardi 6–2, 6–4 at No. 6 singles, and Gabby Goyins followed with a 6–3, 6–2 win over Dana Baidaulet at No. 5 to make it 4–1.

With the match decided, the Ospreys added two more points. Aryana Bartlett defeated Mizuguchi 6–4, 6–2 at No. 3 singles, and May Fadida closed out the match with a 7–5, 6–4 win over Adeikyte at No. 4.
