DeLand, Fla. — Stetson University's indoor volleyball and beach volleyball programs were recognized for their excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The AVCA Team Academic Award honors volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale). A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school programs received the distinction during the 2025-26 academic year.

The award marks the 14th overall Team Academic Award for Stetson's beach volleyball program and its ninth consecutive season earning the distinction. The indoor volleyball program received its eighth all-time Team Academic Award and has now earned the honor in four straight years.

The recognition highlights the continued commitment of both programs to academic excellence while competing at a high level. Stetson's volleyball student-athletes have consistently demonstrated success in balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with achievement in the classroom.
