(DeLand, Fla.) ? The Stetson women's tennis team ran into a red-hot Eastern Michigan squad in a 5-2 defeat at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon.  Breanna Atkinson and Anna Leonenko each delivered singles victories for Stetson, but the Eagles captured their fifth straight win.

Eastern Michigan (6-3) took the doubles point by taking two of the three matches.  Leonenko and Catherine Canady bested Laura Fernandez and Flavia Micati 8-6 for Stetson's lone doubles win. 

Leonenko then defeated Emma Czarkecki 6-1, 6-1 in the #5 singles competition and Atkinson got by Aditi Krishnan in the #2 spot 6-0, 6-4.  Valentina Galbarina suffered a 6-3, 6-4 defeat to the nation's 86th-ranked player, Vanessa Frankowski. 

Stetson remains at home and will face UNC-Greensboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
