The Stetson women's golf team finished fourth at this weekend's Florida Gulf Coast Invitational in Fort Myers. As a team the Hatters shot 312 on day one and 319 on day two for a total of 631. It finished 11 strokes behind tournament champions FGCU.
Individually sophomore Danielle Jackson out of Seminole led the way for Stetson with a fifth place finish at +8 (74 + 78 = 152). She was six strokes behind the champion Heather Hagerman from FGCU (+2) and just two strokes out of second place.
Senior Kara Doyle (+12) and junior Christine Fraser (+16) finished in 10th and 16th place respectively.
The Hatters will be back in action October 14-16 when they travel to Greensboro, N.C. to play in the UNCG/Starmount Invitational.
