Crystal River, Fla. ? Sophomore Danielle Jackson (Seminole, Fla.) shot a final round score of three under-par 69 to win the individual title at the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational this weekend.  Jackson finished the 54-hole event with a score of 218 (+2) to win by three strokes.  The Hatters finished second as a team, their best showing of the spring so far.

Jackson began the tournament with scores of 74 and 75 to find herself in third place entering the final round.  Her 69 score tied her with Florida Atlantic's Karine Bolme for the low round of the event as they were the only two players to break par in the final round.

Sophomore Lauren Darnell (Gainesville, Ga.) tied for sixth with consistent rounds of 75-77-74=226 (+10).  Senior Meagan Carlucci (Southlake, Texas) also scored well, tying for 19^th place at 19 over par.  Junior Ashley Kozlowki (Windsor, Conn.) tied for 31^st at +25 while fellow junior Christine Fraser (Kingston, Ont.) rounded out Stetson's contingent with a +28 total and 44^th place.  Freshman Alex Banham (Peterborough, England) competed as an individual and tied for 45^th two shots behind Fraser.

The Hatters recorded a three-day team score of 919 (+55) to finish second out of 12 teams at the event.  FAU won the event by finishing 10 strokes ahead of Stetson.  The Hatters beat out Florida International by one shot for third place; the Golden Panthers were followed by hosts Cincinnati (+61) and Florida Gulf Coast (+74) in the top five.

The rest of the team field in order was Marshall, UC Riverside, Jacksonville, Wichita State, Rutgers and Eckerd College.

Stetson will tee it up for the final time in the regular season next weekend at the Crimson Tide Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama at the Ol' Colony Golf Club in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
