Tampa, Fla. - Stetson (2-4-0) fell 4-0 to the University of South Florida (4-1-0) Sunday afternoon in Tampa. The Hatters are now 3-9-2 all-time against the Bulls with the first game being played in 1996.
USF finished with a 24-3 advantage in shots as well as 4-2 in corner kicks. Senior Kristen Higel (St. Augustine, Fla.) led Stetson with two shots, junior Courtney Jenista (Pensacola, Fla.) had the third shot for the Hatters. Goalkeeper Andrea Garavaglia (Webster groves, Mo.) picked up nine saves in the game.
Stetson is now 0-3 in its last three games and will look for better results this weekend when it travels to Cape Girardeau, Mo. to play Southeast Missouri State on Friday at 8:00 p.m., and to St. Louis, Mo. to take on Arkansas-Little Rock Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (both times eastern).
