DeLand, Fla. - The Stetson sand volleyball team (2-2) split with Tulane (1-6) in its first ever home matches at the Stetson Sand Volleyball Complex on Wednesday, shutting out the Green Wave 5-0 in the opener before narrowly falling 3-2 in the nightcap. Two Stetson duos won both their matches on the day: the combos of freshmen Julie Bassett (Wadsworth, Ohio) and Alexa Stonish (Stony Brook, N.Y.) and senior Kaylee Ream (Venice, Fla.) and freshman Savannah Byl (Bradenton, Fla.).
The Hatters will host A-Sun rival FGCU at 9:30 am Saturday at the Stetson Sand Volleyball Complex. Admission is free to all home matches.
