CORAL GABLES, Fla.—Miami scored once in the first half and twice in the second half en route to a 3-0 win over Stetson, Friday at Cobb Stadium.

The Hurricanes (2-3-0) fired off 13 shots against the Hatters (0-4-1). Stetson managed just one shot for the game.

Miami scored its first goal of the night in the 28^th minute when Jasmine Patterson took a thru ball from Ronnie Johnson and beat Stetson keeper Karlie Hightower for a 1-0 lead.

The score remained 1-0 until the 65^th minute when Johnson scored an unassisted goal. Miami made it a 3-0 game when Ava Ambrose scored an unassisted goal in the 84^th minute.

Hightower made two saves in her first collegiate start, while Miami keeper Emily Lillard made one save in 90 minutes.

Danielle Hurme recorded the lone shot for Stetson.

The Hatters return to action when they host Wingate, 1 p.m., Sunday at the Athletic Training Center.
