Hatters Return Home for Final Homestand

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson women's soccer returns home for a two match swing. The Hatters will host Queens at 7:00 p.m on Thursday, October 16 and West Georgia at 1:00 p.m on Sunday, October 19 for Senior Day.

The team will look to reset for the final stretch of the season and try to win out to climb into contention for the ASUN Championship. Freshman goalkeeper Mackenzie Caprez has made six starts, making 20 saves while posting a .645 save percentage. Offensively, Avery Wise leads Stetson with two goals, while 11 other Hatters have found the back of the net this season. Brooke Voorhees continues to lead the team in assists with two, while seven other players have recorded at least one.

Queens enters the weekend with a 3–7–4 overall record and a 2–3-1 mark in ASUN play. Helena Merkle and Tamia Ford lead the Royals with three goals apiece while Merkle is tied for the team lead in assists with McKayla Budion.  In goal, Hannah Dike-Lawlor has started 13 matches, going 2–7–3 with a .718 save percentage and a 1.77 goals-against average.

West Georgia sits at 3–11–1 overall and 1–4-1 in the conference. The Wolves will visit FGCU on Thursday before making their way to DeLand. Kaylen Brown and Noemi Casique share the team lead with three goals each. Campbell Taylor leads the Wolves in assists with two. Goalkeeper Emily Sanabria has made 13 starts making 88 saves posting a .759 save percentage and 2.21 goals against average.
