Hatters Look to Stay Atop ASUN Standings, Host UNF on Saturday

Stetson women's soccer closes out the home portion of their regular-season schedule on Saturday when the Hatters host Atlantic Sun Conference foe North Florida at 7 p.m. at the Athletic Training Center.

The last two weeks have seen the Hatters climb to the top of the ASUN standings with a perfect 4-0-0 record. The Hatters (7-4-2 overall) have won a school-record tying six consecutive matches coming into the weekend, the sixth-longest active winning streak in the NCAA.

Strong play at both ends of the field has been leading the Hatters of late. During the winning streak, the Stetson defense has recorded five shutouts while the offense is averaging 2.2 goals per game. Offensive balance has also been a hallmark for the Hatters in recent times, as seven different players have scored in the last six matches.

Saturday's game also marks the final home contest for seniors Ashni Deschenes, Eduarda Pavao, and Alyssa Swett. The trio will be honored in pregame ceremonies.

North Florida (6-6-2, 2-3-0) has won two straight after sweeping road contests last weekend at NJIT (3-1) and USC Upstate (4-3). Forward Alexis Breadeau ranks fourth in the ASUN with five goals scored.

Fans have several ways to follow Saturday's action. The match will be streamed live and live stats will also be available. Fans can also follow the team's official Twitter feed @StetsonWSoccer for in-game updates.

Series Info
Saturday's match will be the 13th meeting between Stetson and UNF. The all-time series is tied at six wins apiece. UNF won last season's meeting, 2-1, in Jacksonville. Prior to last season the Hatters had won four of the previous five meetings.
