Hatters Host ASUN Leader North Florida on Saturday

With just two games remaining in the regular season, Stetson men's soccer hosts Atlantic Sun Conference foe North Florida, 7 p.m., Saturday at the Athletic Training Center.

The Hatters (4-7-2 overall, 1-3-0 ASUN) have some much-needed momentum after a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory against long-time nemesis UCF on Tuesday. Finn Busmann's goal in the second extra period was the difference.

Stetson will need the momentum to work in its favor on Saturday as the Hatters look to secure a berth in next month's six-team ASUN Tournament. Stetson is currently tied for sixth with USC Upstate, a team the Hatters defeated in September. A victory on Saturday would move the Hatters closer to clinching a post-season bid, pending the outcome of other weekend matches.

North Florida (7-3-1, 3-0-0) currently sits atop the ASUN standings following an impressive 3-2 win at No. 11 FGCU on Tuesday. The Ospreys have won three straight and four of their last five matches.

Fans have several ways to follow Saturday's action. The match will be streamed live and live stats will also be available. Fans can also follow the team's official Twitter feed @StetsonMSoccer for in-game updates.

Series Info
Saturday's game is the 14th meeting between Stetson and North Florida in a series which began in 1979 … the Hatters own a 9-2-2 advantage all-time, but the Ospreys took a 2-0 win last season.

News & Notes
Stetson's win over UCF on Tuesday not only snapped a three-game losing streak, but it was also Stetson first multi-goal game since a 2-1 win over USC Upstate on Sept. 24th … senior goalkeeper Paul Ladwig leads the ASUN and ranks tied for 8th in saves with 76.
