SATURDAY RECAP
Stetson freshmen Sofia Ferding and Lucie Renault turned in impressive performances as Stetson continued play at the ITA Championships, Saturday at the University of Florida.

"We played some high level tennis today," Stetson head coach Travis Sandlant said. "Unfortunately, Lucie let a few opportunities go, but she played well. Sophia had a huge win against an ACC opponent today. She let some set points go in the first set but to come back and win was great for her confidence."

Ferding and Renault both played in the backdraw on Saturay. Ferding advanced to second round via walkover before earning a super tiebreaker victory over Georgia Tech's Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer. Renault suffered a straight set loss to FIU's Nina Nagode in the first round.

Ferding continues play on Sunday.
