Hatters Extend Win Streak to Nine with 6-1 Victory

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson University extended its winning streak to nine matches with a 6–1 victory over Bryant on Friday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The Hatters secured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Anastasija Adeikyte and Dana Baidaulet set the tone with a 6–1 victory over Nicole Isman and Lucia Pino at No. 2 doubles, while Pilar Astigarraga Harper and Clelia Lombardi clinched the point with a 6–4 win against Yahli Noy and Laura Stypula at No. 3. Bryant picked up its lone doubles win at No. 1, where Maria Jose Hernandez and Natalia Vela defeated Yuki Mizuguchi and Katsiaryna Tuliakova 6–4.

Stetson carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches.

Katsiaryna Tuliakova gave the Hatters an early boost with a 6–0, 6–3 victory over Vela at No. 2 singles, and Clelia Lombardi followed with a 6–1, 6–1 win against Isman at No. 6. Bryant's only point came at No. 5 singles, where Mila Martinez Rivero defeated Dana Baidaulet 6–2, 6–2.

Yuki Mizuguchi added a 6–3, 6–2 win over Stypula at No. 3 singles, and Anastasija Adeikyte clinched the team victory with a 6–2, 6–4 decision against Hernandez at No. 4. Pilar Astigarraga Harper closed out the match with a 3–6, 6–3, 1–0 (10–1) comeback win over Noy at No. 1 singles.
