Hatters Face Crucial Weekend at Lipscomb, Kennesaw State

Stetson women's soccer faces a crucial test this weekend when the Hatters visit Atlantic Sun Conference foes Lipscomb (Friday) and Kennesaw State (Sunday).

The Hatters (5-4-2 overall, 2-0-0 ASUN) enter the weekend riding a four-game winning streak, the program's longest such streak since 2007. Stetson defeated both NJIT (3-2) and USC Upstate (2-0) last weekend for its first weekend sweep in three years.

But the sledding will be much tougher for the Hatters this weekend against the Bisons and Owls. Lipscomb (9-3-1, 3-0-0) has won three straight, while Kennesaw State (7-5-1, 2-1-0) swept last weekend at North Florida and Jacksonville.

Fans have several ways to follow this weekend's action. Both games will be streamed live and live stats will be available for both contests as well. Fans can also follow the Hatters on the team's Twitter feed @StetsonWSoccer.

Series Info
The Hatters will be facing Lipscomb for the 14th time in program history on Friday, and Stetson owns a 9-2-2 record all-time in the series … Stetson is 3-7-2 all-time against Kennesaw State, including a 3-2 overtime victory in last season's ASUN Tournament quarterfinals.

News & Notes
Sarah Collins normally leads the Stetson offense when it comes to scoring goals, but last weekend she facilitated the scoring by recording four assists in a pair of wins. In Friday's win over NJIT, Collins assisted on all three goals and she added her final assist on Ellie Hackett's game winner against USC Upstate  … Stetson scored five goals last weekend, all by five different players. Each player who scored tallied their first goal of the season: Lindsey Parent, Eduarda Pavao, Briana Camargo, Hackett and Lily Ammon … by scoring four points last weekend, Collins now has 58 career points and is one point shy of tying Melissa This (1994-97) for third on Stetson's all-time list.
