SATURDAY RESULTS
PENSACOLA, Fla.—Stetson men's tennis concluded play on Saturday at the ITF Futures at the Roger Scott Tennis Center.
Junior
Loic Blanco suffered a second-round loss to Mississippi State's Nuno Borges, falling by a score of 6-2, 6-4. Senior
Graham Ball also sustained a second round defeat, dropping a 6-2, 6-1 decision to former Winthrop standout Sergey Belov.
"Loic and Graham lost against better players today," Stetson head coach
Christophe Noblet said. "They executed their patters better, and fully deserve to win. We can learn a lot from this tournament, especially adding more variation to our game when we play on clay court, and keep on commiting ourselves to moving forward to the net when the opportunities appear.
"Overall, I am very happy of what we have built this semester. Our chemistry is strong and our team identity is taking shape. We only have a couple of weeks left together and we plan to take full advantage of it. After that, it will be up to the players to continue the work and prepare themselves on their own during Christmas Break. We have an exciting season ahead of us! "
The Hatters have concluded their fall season. The spring schedule begins on Jan. 18 when they face St. John's in Boca Raton.

FRIDAY RESULTS
PENSACOLA, Fla.—Stetson men's tennis enjoyed a successful first day on Friday at the ITF Futures at The Roger Scott Tennis Center.
The Hatters won a pair of singles matches and also lost twice in the opening round of the clay court event. In an odd draw quirk, teammates
Graham Ball and Angus Bradshaw actually faced each other. Overall, it was a good day for Stetson.
"I am sure it was not fun for Graham and Angus to face each other, but they put their friendship aside for the time of the match and produced some excellent tennis," Stetson head coach
Christophe Noblet said. "Playing on clay offers a different dynamic and the players have to adapt, especially from a strategical standpoint. I think
Loic Blanco did that extremely well today and showed control from the first point on. The competition only gets tougher as the tournament goes on, so we need to keep making adjustment and elevate our own game tomorrow."
Ball, a senior, won a three-set match with Bradshaw by scores of 6-2, 2-6, 6-0. Blanco eased to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Joseph Van Meter.
John Horoz Garner lost to Mississippi State's Nuno Borges 6-1, 6-0. Blanco and Borges are scheduled to square off on Saturday.
