Hatters Welcome The Citadel on Friday, Seek 3-0 Start

Stetson closes out its three-game opening home stand on Friday when the Hatters host The Citadel at Edmunds Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3 and the WacthESPN app.

The Hatters (2-0) enter Friday's game following an impressive 82-67 win over FIU on Monday. Stetson shot 55 percent from the field and mad 15 of 29 shots from 3-point range. Divine Myles led Stetson with 21 points. Derick Newton added 18 and Luke Doyle 17.

The Citadel (2-1) picked up a 119-90 win over NAIA Truett-McConnell on Tuesday. Through three games the bulldogs lead the NCAA in scoring at 111.0 points per game.

News & Notes
•Stetson is seeking the program's first 3-0 start to a season since the 2000-01 team also started 3-0. The '00-01 squad ended the season with a 17-12 record, which is also the last time Stetson finished a season with an above .500 record.
•Stetson's best start to a season came when the 1982-83 team opened the year with eight consecutive wins.
•The Hatters on Friday conclude a three-game home stand to open the season. This is the only time all season the Hatters will play more than two straight at home.
•Stetson's 15 3-pointers in Monday's win over FIU were three shy of tying a school record
•Following Friday's game the Hatters play their next five contests and seven of the next eight games away from Edmunds Center.
