Balanced Hatters Rout Florida College, 101-69

DeLAND—Five different players scored in doubles for Stetson as the Hatters routed Florida College, 101-69, Saturday at Edmunds Center.
 
Luke Doyle led the Hatters (4-5) with a season-high 21 points. Derick Newton and Divine Myles each had 14, while Leo Goodman also tallied a season-high with 12 points. B.J. Glasford recorded his third-straight 11-point outing. Even reserve big man Kevin Ndahiro got in on the fun, marking career highs with nine points and 11 rebounds.
 
The Hatters made 11 straight baskets during one first-half stretch, jumping out to a 33-11 lead. Florida College rallied, however, and eventually closed the gap to 51-44 at halftime.
 
But Stetson wore down the Falcons in the second half, limiting FC to 31 percent shooting. After being out-rebounded in the first half (20-17), Stetson owned a 30-17 advantage on the glass in the second half. Junior walk-on Matthew Cioce put the Hatters over the century mark when he completed a three-point play with 59 seconds left in the game.
 
Stetson's bench, which has struggled to produce at times this season, owned a 46-11 scoring advantage on Saturday.
 
Stetson shot 49 percent for the game, including a 15 of 31 effort from three-point range. The Hatters shared the ball well, getting 26 assists on 37 baskets. Angel Rivera had a career-high 13 assists.
 
Florida College was led in scoring by Eddie Moralobo's 22 points.

With a career-high 13 assists, Angel Rivera moved into 8th place on Stetson's career assist chart (325) …. Rivera and Divine Myles combined for 20 assists and just two turnovers … Kevin Ndahiro established career-highs in points (9), rebounds (11) field goals (3) and free throws made (3) … both Brady Moses (2) and Matthew Cioce (6) scored their first career points as Hatters … the Hatters tied a season-high with 15 3-pointers … the Hatters tied a season high with 10 steals.
