Hatters Split at the Dot Richardson Invitational

Softball Stetson University

Softball Splits on Friday

DeLand, Fla. -- Freshman Brooke Hutto tossed her third shutout of the season as Stetson blanked Bethune-Cookman 1-0 Friday night at Patricia Wilson Field.

The Hatters (14-9) fell 6-0 to Wagner earlier in the day to go 1-1 at the Hatter Classic.

Hutto (8-2) allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out three to post her eighth victory of the season.

Kayla Drury drove in the Hatters lone run with a bases loaded walk in the fifth inning.

Jessie TenBroeck had three hits on the day to extend her reached base streak to 19 consecutive games.  However, her streak of at-bats without a strikeout to start the season came to an end after 67 at-bats and 81 plate appearances.

Stetson will host Fairfield and Wagner on Saturday.
