Myles, Doyle Lead Hatters to 72-67 Win in Canada

MONTREAL, Quebec--Divine Myles scored 11 points and Luke Doyle added 10 as Stetson opened its four-game Canadian tour with a 72-67 win over the University of Quebec at Montreal on Thursday.

The game was played using international rules, which included four quarters and a 24-second shot clock. Stetson led 37-29 at halftime and 55-48 at the end of the third quarter but had to hang on the get the victory. Myles converted one-of-two free throws with less than 10 seconds to play to seal the win. He scored nine of his points in the second half.

In addition to his team-high scoring output, Myles also led the Hatters with eight rebounds. Doyle sank a pair of three-pointers and perfect on two attempts from the free throw line. The junior guard also snagged six rebounds.

All 11 Hatters to make the trip scored at least two points. Grant Lozoya and newcomer Clay Verk each pulled seven rebounds.

Stetson continues its Canadian schedule when the Hatters face 12-time Canadian national collegiate champion Carleton, 7 p.m., Friday, in Ottawa.
