Back home at the Edmunds Center for the first time in three weeks, Stetson will host the 30th Annual Hatter Classic this Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.  Bethune-Cookman, Richmond, and Texas State will travel to DeLand to compete in the two-day event.  The Hatters will play at 1 p.m. each day with live coverage on ESPN3 and WSBB radio.

Here is the Hatter Classic Schedule:

Wednesday, December 20
1 p.m. – Stetson vs. Richmond (ESPN3/WSBB)

Stetson (6-6) is coming off a hard-fought 66-58 setback to Western Kentucky on Sunday.  Brittney Chambers and Kennedi Colclough each scored 16 points for the Hatters, while freshman Shania Meertens netted a season-high 12. Chambers has scored in double figures in all 12 games this season.

The Hatters are 4-1 at home this season and have outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points-per-game. Overall, Stetson is 44-5 (.898) over its past 49 non-conference home games.

Head coach Lynn Bria has won 183 games at Stetson and is just one victory shy of tying Dee Romine for the school record.  Romine won 184 games in her 15 seasons at the helm of the Hatter program from 1993-2008.

Richmond (5-6) will be returning to action after a long lay-off.  The Spiders have not played since Dec. 6.  Texas State (7-2) is coming off a 73-41 win over Sam Houston State on Sunday.  Bethune-Cookman (6-3) fell to Jacksonville 68-58 also on Sunday.

Single-day passes are on sale and start at just $10 for general admission.  Tickets can be purchased online through the Hatter Ticket Office webpage or at the Edmunds Center box office.  For more information, visit the Tournament Central webpage.

The two Stetson games will be broadcast live by ESPN3 with Evan Weston and DeAsia Beal calling the action.  Luke Mauro will have the call on WSBB AM1230, AM1490, and online at myam1230.com.
