Hatters Continue Busy Stretch Sunday at SIUE

The Stetson women's basketball team will play its fourth game in seven days Sunday when the Hatters travel to Edwardsville, Ill. to face SIUE. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET with a free live video stream on the OVC Digital Network.

Stetson (5-4) has won two straight at home, a 67-56 win over Northern Kentucky on Wednesday followed by a 67-30 victory over Webber on Friday.  The Hatters held Webber to just eight second-half points while recording a season-high 47 rebounds and seven blocked shots.

Senior Brittney Chambers leads the ASUN in scoring at 18.3 ppg.  She has topped the 20-point mark four times this season.  In addition, McKenna Beach leads the league in assists (49) and Megan Vincent leads the conference in blocks (16).  As a team, the Hatters rank 10th in the NCAA in free throw pct. (.787).

SIUE (3-2), meanwhile, has victories this season over Air Force, Saint Louis, and Southern Illinois (Carbondale).  Lauren White leads the team with 15.0 ppg.

The Hatters and Cougars met last year in DeLand with Stetson earning a 78-68 victory in the Hatter Classic.  Sunday will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools.

In addition to the live broadcast, live stats, twitter (@StetsonWBB) and the HatCheck text messaging system will provide live updates as well.

Notes:
  • The Hatters are making their second trip to Illinois in the past three years. Stetson defeated EIU 68-66 in 2015.
  • Head Coach Lynn Bria has 182 coaching victories at Stetson, two shy of tying the school record.
  • Sydney Wagner has made 8-of-her-last-11 3-point field goal attempts. She scored a team-high 18 points against Webber on Friday.
  • Kennedi Colclough ranks second in the ASUN in rebounds (68) and third in points scored (122).
