Hatters Host Lipscomb For Senior Day

Stetson Seeking Win No. 20.

Fresh off a dramatic 57-47 overtime victory vs. Jacksonville on Wednesday. the Stetson Hatters will go for their ninth win a row Saturday as they host the Lipscomb Lady Bisons.  Tip-off at the Edmunds Center is set for 1 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN3 and WSBB radio.

The Hatters (19-5, 8-1 ASUN) will also be honoring seniors DeAsia Beal, Brianti Saunders and Breana Bey prior to the game.

A victory on Saturday would give Stetson its seventh consecutive 20-win season.  The program record for wins in a single-season is 27, set back in the 2013-14 season. Stetson also won a school-record 16 games in a row that year.

The Hatters lead the all-time series 21-7 over the Lady Bisons (5-19, 2-7), having won the past 13 head-to-head meetings.  Stetson defeated Lipscomb 91-66 in Nashville back on Jan. 16.  Saunders averages 23.8 points per game in her career vs. the Lady Bisons.


Tickets start at $7.00 for general admission and can be purchased online (GoHatters.com/tix) or the Hatter Ticket Office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are free with a valid I.D.

1st Quarter Success
Stetson is outscoring its opponents by 124 points in first quarters this year (431-307). Stetson has led after the first quarter in all nine ASUN games, and in 18 of the team's 24 games this year (the Hatters are 16-2 in those games). Stetson has not trailed after the first quarter since Tennessee State led 17-16 after one on Dec. 20. The last five opponents are averaging 8.4 first quarter points (UNF scored 3, NJIT 4, and Jacksonville 6).

Playing with the Lead
Stetson is 15-1 when leading at the half and 18-1 when leading after three quarters ... Stetson has not trailed by more than six points during the eight-game win streak.
