No. 38 FIU Blanks Hatters

MIAMI, Fla.—No. 38 Florida International handed Stetson a 4-0 defeat in women's tennis, Saturday at FIU Tennis Courts.

The Hatters (0-7) lost the doubles point as the No. 2 team of Sofia Ferding and Lucie Renault suffered a 6-2 loss, and the No. 3 duo of Alexe Viaud and Danielle Peele lost, 6-1.

FIU (7-1) quickly won three singles matches to get the win. The Panthers secured victories at No. 2 (6-0, 6-2 over Renault), No. 6 (6-1, 6-0 over Viaud) and No. 5 (6-1, 6-1).

The Hatters were originally scheduled to play at Bethune-Cookman on Sunday, but that match has been moved to March 18. Stetson's next contest is Monday, Feb. 26 when they host Oakland at 3:30.
