Hatters Fall at UNF

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—Arijana Korac and Danielle Peele each picked up singles victories but it wasn't enough to help Stetson in a 5-2 loss to Atlantic Sun Conference foe North Florida, Saturday at UNF Tennis Courts.

The Hatters (3-12, 0-2 ASUN) were swept in doubles play to start the match, allowing UNF (9-7, 1-0) to jump out to a 1-0 lead.

The Ospreys quickly took a 2-0 lead with a win at No. 5 singles. Peele put the Hatters on the board with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6.

Unfortunately for Stetson, UNF won the next four singles match to clinch the team victory. Korac secured her sixth singles victory of the year with a 7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7) win at No. 1.

Stetson continues ASUN play when the Hatters visit Lipscomb on Thursday, March 30.
