Hatters Host Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy

With their first two wins of the season finally under their belts, Stetson hosts an important pair of Atlantic Sun Conference lacrosse games this weekend when the Hatters welcome Central Michigan, 7 p.m., Friday and Detroit Mercy, 11 a.m., Sunday to the Athletic Training Center.

The Hatters (2-8 overall, 2-1 ASUN) play their next four games at home, which gives them a good opportunity to continue to climb up the conference standings as postseason play looms. If they are to continue their move up the ASUN standings they'll need more performances like they had last weekend in wins at Delaware State and Howard.

In those two games the Hatters scored 45 total goals while also allowing just six. Last Sunday the Hatters made history by blanking Howard, 24-0, for the program's first shutout. Sam Maguire scored nine goals in the two games, while Lindsay Summers totaled seven assists.

Central Michigan (4-7, 1-3) enters the weekend having lost three of their last four games. Riley Huda leads the Chippewas in scoring with 14 goals and 25 assists.

Detroit Mercy (2-9, 0-4) has lost five straight and is one of only two winless teams in the 11-team ASUN. The Titans play at Jacksonville on Friday before visiting DeLand.

Fans have several ways to follow this weekend's action. The games will be streamed live and live stats will also be available. Fans can also follow the team's official Twitter feed @StetsonLacrosse for in-game updates.
