Hatters to Host ASUN Foe NJIT Thursday

Stetson men's basketball opens a three-game home stand on Thursday when the Hatters welcome NJIT to the Edmunds Center. Tip-off is 7 p.m., and the can be seen live on ESPN3.
 
The Hatters (8-9, 0-1) opened ASUN play last Saturday with a 90-52 loss at FGCU. Divine Myles led the Hatters with 15 points, adding seven assists, five rebounds and two steals. Luke Doyle and Abayomi Iyiola each chipped in with 11 points.
 
The Highlanders (8-8, 1-0) earned a 98-87 win at home against USC Upstate last Saturday in their conference opener. Anthony Tarke led five Highlanders in double figures with 21 points.
 
NJIT leads the all-time series with the Hatters, 3-2. Stetson and the Highlanders split a pair of games last season, with each team defending its home court.

News & Notes
•Angel Rivera moved into third place on Stetson's career assist chart last Saturday after a 2-assist effort against FGCU. The senior point guard now has 508 career assists, and needs just 19 more to become Stetson's all-time leader.
•Stetson's bench was limited to 17 points against FGCU, snapping a streak of seven straight games with at least 20 points.
•Senior Divine Myles is currently ranked in the Stetson career top 10 in scoring (4th), assists (6th), field goals made (7th), field goals attempted (7th), steals (7th), free throws made (10th) and free throws attempted (10th). He is the only player in program history to rank in the Top 10 in scoring (1,597), assists (434), and steals (138).
•Myles enters play on Thursday needing four rebounds to become the 27th Hatter to reach 500 career rebounds.
•Senior Luke Doyle is expected to make his 50th consecutive start on Thursday 
•Divine Myles has scored in double figures in 16 straight games, and in 91 of 112 career games overall
