Hatters Open ASUN Road Trip Thursday at Kennesaw State

Stetson men's basketball opens an ASUN Conference road trip when the Hatters visit Kennesaw State, 7 p.m., Thursday. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

The Hatters (10-10 overall, 2-1 ASUN) will look to regain some momentum after Monday's non-conference setback to Bethune-Cookman. Stetson swept last weekend's conference games, downing NJIT and USC Upstate in DeLand.

Stetson enters Thursday's game ranked third in the ASUN in scoring defense at 75.5 points per game, a marked improvement over last season when the Hatters allowed opponents to scored nearly 83 points (82.9) per contest.

The Hatters have also been stingy with the ball, averaging a league-low 11.0 turnovers per game. Thus, the Hatters also lead the ASUN in turnover margin (+3.6) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4).

Senior guard Divine Myles continues to lead the Hatters in scoring, ranking third in the ASUN at 16.6 points per game. Myles is also fifth in the league in field-goal percentage (.520), sixth in assists per game (4.1) and 6th in steals per game (1.6).

Sophomore guard James Scott leads Kennesaw State (4-14, 0-3) in scoring at 15.9 points per game, but the Owls are last in the eight-team ASUN at just under 70 points per game.
