Flames Down Hatters 3-0

Lynchburg, Va. -- Casey Goodwin registered 16 kills and four aces as Liberty defeated visiting Stetson 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) Sunday afternoon at the Vines Center.

Hao Jin led the Hatters (12-8, 4-4 ASUN) with eight kills and two blocks.  Emily DeStaffino  hit .500 (5-0-10) and dished out 23 assists.  Chelcie Spence picked up a team-high 14 digs.

The Flames (8-13, 5-3) outhit the Hatters .324 to .150 in the first ASUN meeting between the two teams.  Stetson and Liberty will face off again in DeLand on Nov. 8.  

The Hatters completed the first half of ASUN play in fifth place with a 4-4 league record.  The second half begins Tuesday night at Jacksonville.
