Hatters Visit No. 3 Duke on Saturday

Stetson men's basketball faces a daunting task on Saturday when the Hatters visit No. 3 Duke for a nationally televised game on ESPN2. Tip-off from Cameron Indoor Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

The Hatters (1-7) are hoping build on their best effort of the season, a 75-71 loss Wednesday at USF. In that game, Stetson limited the Bulls to 39 percent shooting in the second half while shooting better than 49 percent for the game.

Sophomore Abayomi Iyiola enjoyed a career night at USF, finishing with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Fellow sophomore Christiaan Jones chipped in 20 points but the Hatters came up just short.

Duke (6-1) is led by a quarter of freshmen. Forward R.J. Barrett (22.7) and Zion Williamson (21.3) lead the Bluve Devils in scoring. Duke is coached by Mike Krzyzewski, who is in his 36th season with the Blue Devils.
