Hatters Blank Oakland

Box Score Stetson women's tennis swept their way to a 4-0 win over Oakland, Thursday at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The Hatters (5-1) won for the third straight time overall, winning the doubles and capturing three singles victories.

The doubles teams of Vicky Geurinckx & Arijana Korac earned a 6-2 win at No. 1, and Maxine Bateman & Dane Ashirova captured a 6-1 decision at No. 3 to give Stetson a 1-0 lead.

Korac made it 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles, and Danielle Peele followed with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 6 to give the Hatters a 3-0 advantage.

Brooke Milner closed out the match for Stetson by winning 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4.

The Hatters were winning in each of the other three singles matches when play was halted.

Stetson returns to action on Friday when the Hatters host Barry at 9:30 a.m.
