Bhatnagar Receives National Ranking

Stetson freshman Malik Bhatnagar is ranked among the top 125 singles players in the nation according to the latest rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, which were released on Wednesday.
 
Bhatnagar, who is 3-0 this spring, is ranked 102nd in the latest weekly rankings. He also enjoyed an outstanding fall tournament season. Included among his fall results was an appearance in the finals of the Southern Intercollegiate.
 
He is the only ASUN Conference player ranked.
 
"This ranking is the result of some great results from Malik this past fall," Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet said. "He beat some quality players and deserves to be ranked. Plus he is starting the spring season with determination as he won all his matches in straight sets so far. He loves to compete and knows how to elevate his game when the match is on the line. Now he needs to focus on the season ahead and all the great opportunities he has in front of him to build upon that achievement."
 
Bhatnagar and the Hatters continue play, 3 p.m., Friday, when they host Bethune-Cookman at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
