Hatters Host Delaware State, Howard This Weekend

Stetson lacrosse opens a four-game home stand this weekend when the Hatters welcome Delaware State and Howard to the Athletic Training Center. Admission is free.
 
The Hatters host Delaware State at 5 p.m., Friday in a non-conference tilt. The Hatters and Howard face off in an ASUN Conference affair Sunday at noon.
 
Stetson (2-10 overall, 0-2 ASUN) opened conference play last weekend with a pair of road games, losing at Coastal Carolina (17-13) and Old Dominion (12-11). After Sunday's game with the Bison, there will be only two conference games remaining on the schedule.
 
Senior Hallie Merz could make some history this weekend. With 147 career points, she is eight points shy of passing Lindsay Summers (2014-17) to become Stetson's all-time leader.
 
Merz is also on the verge of passing Summers as the Hatters' career leader in assists. Merz currently has 75 career assists and is 13 behind Summers with at least five games remaining.
 
For the season, Merz leads the ASUN with 22 assists. Her 32 points ranks fifth in the conference.
 
Delaware State enters Friday's game with an 0-9 record. Howard is 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the ASUN.
