Hatters Sweep UNF to Advance to ASUN Championship

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson won in straight sets at the 2, 4, and 5 seeds to defeat UNF 3-0 Sunday morning and advance to the ASUN Championship match for the sixth year in a row. The Hatters will face either Jacksonville, FGCU or UNF at 3 p.m. seeking their fourth title in the past five years. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Hatters (29-8) set a new school record with their 29th dual victory of the season. Quinci Birker and Rebecca Ingram got the Hatters on the board first with a 21-18, 21-15 win at the 5 seed. Julie Varga and Lauren Durham made it a 2-0 Stetson advantage with a 21-18, 21-12 win on court 4.

Sunniva Helland-Hansen and Carly Perales got the clinching point on court 2 with a 21-16, 21-15 victory. It was the 50th career win for Helland-Hansen.

Stetson has now won 25 straight matches against ASUN opponents.
