Hatters Host Pair of ASUN Games This Weekend

Stetson women's soccer hosts a pair of ASUN Conference games this weekend when the Hatters welcome Lipscomb, 7 p.m., Friday, and North Alabama, 1 p.m., Sunday, at the Athletic Training Center.
 
This weekend's games mark the start of a four straight home contests for the Hatters. Stetson (3-5-3, 0-1-1) is just 1-1-2 at home this season, and is 0-3-3 in its last six games overall.
 
In two games last weekend, the Hatters battled to a 1-1 draw at North Florida and suffered a 1-0 loss at Jacksonville.
 
Lindsey Parent leads the Hatters with three goals and seven points, while Hailey Williams is second with two goals. Goalkeeper Emily Plotz is second in the ASUN with 56 saves.
 
Lipscomb (6-3-2, 1-0-0) won its ASUN opener last weekend, defeating NJIT by a 5-1 score. The Bisons are third in the ASUN with 23 goals and lead the conference in shots on-goal (82). Riley Henry is third in the league with six goals, while Olivia Doak is fifth with five goals.
 
North Alabama (7-4, 1-0) is in its first season in the ASUN after moving up from NCAA Division II. The Lions have won two straight games after opening the season with five consecutive wins. UNA won its first ASUN match last weekend, 2-1, over Kennesaw State. Shelby Wall is second in the ASUN with 20 points (6G, 8A).
 
News & Notes: Stetson and Lipscomb will meet for the 17th time on Friday in a series which dates back to 2001 … the Hatters hold a 10-3-3 lead in the all-time series … the teams played to a 1-1 draw last season in DeLand … Stetson and North Alabama will be meeting for the first time … Lindsey Parent's goal at North Florida was the 10th of her career.
 
Up Next: After this weekend, the Hatters close their home schedule by hosting Kennesaw State (Oct. 4) and NJIT (Oct. 7).
