Hatters Visit Lipscomb on Saturday

Stetson men's basketball continues ASUN Conference play on Saturday when the Hatters visit preseason league favorite and defending tournament champion Lipscomb. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. from Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Hatters (4-12 overall, 0-1 ASUN) opened conference play on Wednesday with a 71-53 loss to Liberty in DeLand. Sophomore guard Christiaan Jones led the Hatters with 12 points, but Stetson couldn't overcome a slow start and 54 percent shooting by the Flames.
Lipscomb (11-4, 2-0) defeated North Florida on Wednesday by an 81-66 margin. Garrison Matthews, the ASUN preseason player of the year, lead the Bisons in scoring and ranks third in the conference at 18.4 points per game.
As a team, the Bisons lead the ASUN in points per game (84.9) and assists per game (17.5), while ranking second in field-goal percentage (.490) free throw percentage (.751).
News & Notes
Stetson is 15-20 all-time against the Bisons, including 4-14 in games played at Allen Arena. Overall, Lipscomb has won five straight and 9 of 11 in the series.
Lipscomb and Stetson first met in 1962, and have battled annually since the Bisons joined the ASUN in 2002-03
Lipscomb is currently 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the ASUN. The Bisons have impressive non-conference wins over SMU and TCU on the road.
The Hatters have made 30 three-pointers in their last three games, and are shooting at a 37.2-percent clip from beyond the arc in that span
